Unleashing the Latino Entrepreneurial Spirit

Unleashing the Latino Entrepreneurial Spirit

In April, Lapiz employees helped out in our local Chicago community through Junior Achievement's "JA in a day". The experience was so inspiring, we wrote an article that we feel encompasses the realities of the growing Latino entrepreneurial community and its effects on the Newstream - which in turn is effecting current as well as our future mainstream culture. Enjoy!

Junior Achievement

Junior Achievement

At Lapiz we love to give back to the community. Especially when we can help make an impact on our future leaders and great minds! That’s why on April 30 we joined with our Leo Burnett and Arc teammates to take over a local Chicago K-12 school. John Walsh elementary has predominantly Hispanic students so we felt it was a perfect fit. Inspiring and empowering our fellow Latinos to become future entrepreneurs was an extremely gratifying experience. Looking forward to next year!

Their passion and talent are a true inspiration and we congratulate our fellow Lapizeros!

We Give Back

We Give Back

We partner with several non-profit organizations throughout the city, so whether our employees help once a month to read to a child, donate from their paycheck, create a pro bono campaign or sit on the Board of Directors, there is always an outlet to give back.

Off The Street Club provides a safe haven for children living in a place that has seen the largest relative increase in violence and imprisonment rates in the U.S. Supported by Leo Burnett and the Chicago Ad Community for over 110 years, there are activities, programs and initiatives that build self-esteem and provide these children with a positive path to follow as they grow. And what started as one employee's passion became what is now known as "Paddle Royale" - an annual table tennis tournament open to all creative agencies in Chicago with proceeds benefiting Off The Street Club.
